For a few weeks now I have been praying to God asking Him if He could please give me a heart that obeys Him, His word, His Spirit, His ways… I thought and spoke to God about now He gave King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon a heart of an animal for a period of time. And, I thought about how He hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and, recently, after being told to read 1 Samuel 10…I have also been thinking about the new heart He gave to Saul who would be a king of Israel.

In the case of Nebuchadnezzar, he was a wicked king who the Lord used to enslave the Israelites after years of warning them to turn their hearts back to Him. In the account of King Nebuchadnezzar, as revealed in the scriptures of the book of Daniel, is this knowledge about one of the king’s dream

"...Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him..." Daniel 4:16.

Reading on you will come to the knowledge that this was a dream given by God to Nebuchadnezzar and the interpretation of it was given to Daniel.

The meaning was that Nebuchadnezzar was going to be given a heart like a wild animal who lives in the bush and eats and behaves wildly as is the nature of an animal’s heart is.

"...That they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling will be with the beasts of the field, and they will make you to eat grass as oxen, and they will wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times will pass over you, till you know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will..."

It would be seven years that the King would live like an animal. An animal. Because God would make one in him. God.

"...The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws..."

Yet God in His great mercies…God, would spare Nebuchadnezzar his life as a man and as a king.

"...And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes unto heaven, and my understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured Him that lives for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation:

And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and He does according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay His hand, or say to Him, What do you?

At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.

Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and Hid ways judgment: and those that walk in pride He is able to abase."

In no way do I desire to come against Almighty God, Jesus Christ. I say that because I realize the thee persons mentioned above turned from God. We do not have to follow suit. We, like Daniel and the three Hebrew boys, and the great cloud of witnesses who have gone before us, can walk in the ways and counsel of our God ALL the days appointed unto us, by Him, through Him and for Him. We can and will in His strength and power and behaviour by the Holy Spirit and true word of the Living God.

Yes, I want and need a heart that can serve God trough the Holy Ghost as Jesus so willingly did when He was living here in flesh. Of everything, every single thing Jesus was and is, is obedient to our Heavenly Father. Obedient to serve, obedient to love, obedient to speak the truth, obedient to teach, obedient to give up His life in terrible suffering yet counted it as joy.

Not long ago the Holy Spirit spoke this to me,

“Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that you build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” ISAIAH 66:1-2

What can I give to God the creator? What does He desire? What does He want…like actually want from me? Even me?

My heart.

Your heart is the womb of conception.

Another heart to conceive the things and ways and nature of Jesus here on earth in my daily life.

In Jesus I do ask even for a sign as evidence O Lord my God.
Amen.
